Our Hero Ingredients
Big fragrance houses develop captive synthetic molecules to make their perfumes hard to copy. Instead, at Narici, we source, and in some cases, develop bespoke high-impact natural essential oils and absolutes from single-origin Italian ingredients.
Our launch plans are based on the crop calendar, and our supply chain relies on the relationships with farmers and growers. We release a new perfume each month, as different materials are harvested and processed for the upcoming batches. Our releases are often limited because we have to wait for the next crop to make more perfume.
TRIPLE HEIRLOOM ROSE EXTRACT (LIGURIA)
Rose is the queen of perfumery, but not all roses are the same. We use a triple extract made from the three different varieties cultivated in the Scrivia Valley.
We get our single-origin roses from heirloom gardens, tucked away in the Ligurian mountains, where petals are hand-picked to make the local rose syrup (and our Amarena perfume).
Sesame from Ispica (Sicily)
Sesame from Ispica is a rare sesame cultivar that is only grown in south-eastern Sicily. It is so unique that it is protected by the Slow Food Presidium.
The absolute created from this sesame is the magic ingredient in our first ever perfume: Narici N°1. It is also the first single-origin ingredient created exclusively for our fragrances.
Lavender from Chianti (Tuscany)
Lavender is the cornerstone of the classic French fougère accord, which we have reinterpreted in our Matcha fragrance.
We get our single-origin lavender essential oil from a small family producer in Chianti, who grow, harvest and distill a unique variety of lavender on the same hill.
Citron from Santa MARIA DEL CEDRO
In Calabria, timeless mastery and unique microclimate yield the diamond-quality citrons used in our Diamante fragrance.
Hand picked from thorny bushes. perfect citrons are revered as sacred since Moses' time.
COASTAL JASMINE (CALABRIA)
Few jasmine fields remain in the famous Costa dei Gelsomini (Jasmine Riviera), preserving a fading rural heritage.
Hand-picked at dawn for maximum indolic intensity. It’s radiant, carnal and sultry, perfect for our playful Bambola perfume.
Vetiver from Massa (Tuscany)
Born in Tuscany to protect the land, vetiver reveals its hidden strength in its deep roots and its unique scent.
Exclusively cultivated in Massa, this vetiver is at the heart of our fragrance Figo, where its earthy depth blends with fig to create a perfume of intense character.
TOBACCO ABSOLUTE (TUSCANY)
Distilling the most authentic essence of Tuscany, the main varieties of tobacco used in perfumery are Burley, Virginia and, as in our case, Kentucky.
Cultivated using traditional methods, the leaves are slowly dried to reveal the signature smoky aroma in our Siena perfume.
BERGAMOTTO SPUGNATO (Calabria)
At the southernmost tip of Italy where the air is scented with citrus and sea salt, a nearly vanished tradition still survives, hand-sponged bergamot oil.
Our Bergamoud perfume presents an unfiltered portrait of bergamot in its purest, most vibrant form.
